This week I am going to try to make sure I catch up and compile a chart on Wednesday, which will still leave me one week behind but I can post that chart for the combi-chart. If I can then compile yet another one next weekend I'll be pretty much "level".
Due to the fact that I'm planning to switch my mode of transport to work from public transport to private, the latter of which allows me to listen to CDs on the journey, I will be compiling CDs of the new songs and so should hopefully get enough exposure to be able to compile charts quicker
As it happens chart compilation time has sped up as I've now developed a "formula" to give a "default" position to each song in the previous weeks chart - the position is actually a negative score, so the ones with the lowest score feature higher up the chart. These defaults are generated and then I can go through and change them before running the macro that compiles the chart. Having looked at that I can make any other amendments I wish to make. (The formula and macro are there to help me, not to dictate to me what the chart has to be). Actually, by the pure formula, Rilo Kiley would have fallen from #1 in each of the last 2 weeks, and would have fallen only to #2 this week.
Hopefully we can have some replies before Wednesday and I can talk a bit about the music in the chart.
