Commentary
Last week, I presumed that the current top four would be on top for quite sometime longer. My prediction was wrong. Kate Nash leads a whopping 10 new songs onto the chart with her single 'Foundations', closely followed behind by Hellogoodbye's hit 'Here (In Your Arms)'. It's safe to say these two songs should braek into the top five very soon. For now though, Kelly clarkson moves up two spaces to reign Queen of the chart with 'Never Again', the first single from her new album 'My Decemeber.' This is probably my favorite Kelly Clarkson release thus far.
Besides the two new entries, two other songs move into the top ten. 'Misery Business' by Paramore and 'Kiss You Off' by Scissor Sisters both make significant jumps into the top ten, and are also contenders for the top spot. Outside of the top ten, the Killers make the largest chart move with their soon to be released single 'For Reasons Unknown'. It is so far one of my favorites from Sam's Town (in my opinion, better than their first three releases), and should do quite well. Intervention by the Arcade Fire also makes a large jump.
Due to the sheer ammount of new entries needed to make this a top fourty from a top thirty chart, a lot of songs dropped a significant ammount of places. These jumps should be smaller next, some songs also may go up. (Keep an eye out on Carolyna and 4 in the Morning). Next week should be exciting. <3 Can Kate Nash or Hellogoodbye defeat Kelly Clarkson?
