Thought it'd be nice to post a thread about this lady here. She's a young British female singer/songwriter. She's quite versatile, I suppose I'd categorise her as a 'soft-rock' artist; although it has a very blues-y feel. I've described her as Sheryl Crow meets Joni Mitchell which seems appropriate. Her album, "Eye To The Telescope", was released this week. I'm sure she'll have a nice 2005 chart-wise also. Alt-Divas fans should DEFINITLEY check her out - you'll all love her

Yep - that's her She's pretty fantastic. Radio 2 are also tipping her for the top, apparently. I first caught her back in January when she supported Joss Stone on tour. Without a doubt - the best 'new' support act I've ever seen. Tremendous live. She came out with just a guitar and shut the whole place up.

I've heard a lot about KT Tunstall lately, though had not seen what she looks like until now!
The BBC have tipped her for chart success as part of their predictions for 2005, and they are usually pretty accurate! I've not yet listened to any of her music, but I'll definitely check her out in the next few days!

I think that could be done to the album's random re-release this week with the studio version of "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree" added.

I just downloaded the False Alarm EP, and am loving it. It reminds me of early Suzanne Vega - lots of acoustic guitar and vocals. No heavy handed production necessary. The album goes on my 'to buy' list now

Liking the single a lot, is the album better than that, cos might be one I have to look into if it is... It's definitley a very strong album. There's little that sounds like "Black Horse & The Cherry Tree" (A couple e.g. "Suddenly I See" are in the same vein), but it's all definitley of the same quality, some is better. Definitley worth a try.
