Can't believe there hasn't been a thread for the weird and wonderful Bjork. I'm loving her song 'Human Behaviour' at the moment, haven't been able to stop listening to it on Youtube since I saw it on telly the other day. I don't have any albums as yet but I may start putting that right soon.

Bachelorette is my favourite track. Love the video to this. The All Is Full Of Love has an amazing video too.

Bachelorette is one of my favorites as well! Homogenic is definitely my favorite Bjork album. But I think one of my ultimate faves has got to be Hyperballad...it's really hard to choose though because everything she does is amazing!

Bjork's best album to date would be:
1. Vespertine 2. Homogenic 3. Post 4. Selmasongs 5. Debut 6. Medulla

I love Bjork - she's one of my fave Banshees (although behind Tori, PJ Harvey and Kate). I don't listen to her much as I've heard the albums many many times but always interested if she's got something new.
Top songs would include Play Dead, One Day, Bachelorette, Hidden Place, Harm of Will, Vokuro, I've Seen it all before (with Thom Yorke).
Just get her albums one by one - my least favourite is Post but even that has so much good stuff on her. She's a great artist.

Really? ?? I thought Totempole was a genious album title!! And it made sense since all Bjork's albums are 1-word titled... The title & release date are from play.com, not any official announcement yet... By the way, I got all Bjork albums and my favourite is Homogenic, which includes Yoga & Bachalorette, probably my top 2 fav Bjork songs. I also love Play dead, Isobel, It's oh so quiet, Hyperballad, Pagan poetry, Venus as a boy... so many!!!!!

"Volta" sounds a bit more Bjork - and I've heard this will be a little more commecial than the last few efforts?
Does anyone else have the fab "Gling Glo" album? And any Sugarcubes/Kukl stuff? Been a fanatic since I heard "Birthday" in 1987... My favourite single ever.
Of her "proper" albums, "Post" has to be my favourite - followed by "SelmaSongs."

I've never heard of SelmaSongs. Kind of proves how much I need to brush up on my Bjork knowledge!

Soundtrack to the Lars von Trier film 'Dancing in the Dark' - she stars in it and it is the most intense film I've ever seen. You have to be in a good mood to see it.
The album is extremely short - only 7 tracks (and one is an instrumental version of one of the other tracks) but well worth hearing for 'In the Musicals', 'New World' and her duet with Thom Yorke 'I've Seen it All'.

"Dancer In The Dark" actually! (It's nothing to do with Bruce Springsteen after all!) It is the most intense film I've ever seen too. It's difficult to watch it more than once because it leaves you emotionally shattered. There's a couple of other tracks that are in the film but aren't on the soundtrack from some reason - well worth hearing though.
