By the way, what was the name of their last couple of songs in the charts as one really grew on me and would like to hear it again...

By the way, what was the name of their last couple of songs in the charts as one really grew on me and would like to hear it again... It is indeed a fantastic compilation... mine has a bonus disc of b-sides and rarities too which is also great. The most recent singles have been from the Gaze album: "Just A Few Things That I Ain't" & "Let Go With The Flow"

My personal fave out of The Beautiful South's albums is "Miaow". It's probably their smallest seller but it's great.

Both Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway were in The Housemartins. I loved Housemartins but only a few BS songs- like Ol Red Eyes and Good as Gold.

Slightly off topic but I love their new single. A cover of ELO's Livin Thing.

Started to pick up airplay already from Viking ( as you'd expect). Radio 2 will hammer this as well I suspect before long. First single from their covers album. It's out 11 Oct.

^Indeed The Beautiful South were the typical band that you know all the singles but never venture to buy an album I still love their debut single the most 'I love you from the bottom of my pencil case...'
