yes, I went to one in Margate in 1982. Peter Powell was the DJ that day and Chas & Dave (perhaps not surprisingly) were guests.

Yeah went to one in Bridlington with my sister. Peter "hello mate" Powell was the DJ. We were there early so were right at the front. Wanted to do bits and pieces but they picked the guy next to me!

I never went to any roadshows meself, but I did listen to them on radio 1 ! And I liked playing to Bits and Pieces ! Uninteresting fact : I've got a signed letter and picture from Bruno Brookes and a Mark Goodier signed picture ! All framed ! Not bad for a french guy, eh ? Ah ! And I also got a "big shout" from Pete Tong way back in 1991 ! ;D

A certain song that was the follow-up to their biggest hit but didn't actually reach the top 40.... Probably did a couple of others too while they were there, like Rabbit....

Never went to them, but loved doing bits and pieces on the radio to see how I did to the people they picked. These were so much better than the One big weekend things they do now.

they may have done Ain't No Pleasin' You but the song I was thinking about was "Margate".
Somewhere I have a signed copy of that single.

Used to love listening to them as a kid in the early 90s. I went to one in Blackpool when staying at my grandparents in 1999 (which I think was the last year). Got there for the end of the warm up which Emma B was presenting, and saw Apollo 440 doing Stop the Rock. Dave Pearce was presenting the main lineup which included Dina Carroll and Adam Rickitt. I actually liked Breathe Again but the live version was utterly cringeworthy, Adam Rickitt saying "Let me hear you SCREAM" when he came out The funniest thing afterwards was my dad taking photos, Emma B gave a little wave, but Dave Pearce didn't want to know and completely blanked us!
