To celebrate 40 years of Radio 2:
On Sunday 30th September, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse resurrect their spoof DJs Smashie and Nicey for a one-off two-hour Pick Of The Pops special, running down the chart from the last week of September 1967.
The Top 10 features records by Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Traffic, The Flowerpot Men, Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Small Faces and The Move, climaxing in the number one record – The Last Waltz by Engelbert Humperdinck.

Uncool it may be, but i think The Last Waltz is one of the best op songs ever.Good melody and well sung.

My wife prefers Release Me. Don't know if she's trying to tell me something.

My wife prefers Release Me. Don't know if she's trying to tell me something. maybe!!ha ha. Funny thing is i bought the Engelbert remixes cd a couple of years ago and Last Waltz was so radically remixed, it's no waltz anymore!I gave that cd away after 2 spins.I never warmed to Release me though.I like him for one song and that's it.

They're not bothering to give the chart positions even.
