Latest tape is the Alarm and Change, one of their later efforts, and it does sound much more produced, bit like Simple Minds or texas in places. I do like it though, stand out tracks already are Love dont come easy and Devolution working class blues! I also loved their early stuff, 68 guns and where were you hiding when the storn broke, bought them on 7" at the time. Absolute reality and spirit of 76 were also brill. They were back in the charts recently as The Poppies? Showing that if they changed their name they could get a hit?

The Alarm were brilliant! Some really strong songs. I particularly like "68 Guns", "Where Were You Hiding When the Storm Broke?" "Unsafe Building" and "New South Wales"
I will have to listen to my album again.

Is the Change album the one with Rain In The Summertime on it? That's the only alarm song I know.

I do recall liking the song, but to be perfectly honest, the last time I heard it must be about 20 years ago! I will give it a Youtube.
