Now I liked a couple of thier songs, and thought 2 of the sisters were damn hot, and I liked their dance routiunes, but they weren't really my thing! Didn't they blow all their money on cars and houses or something as well? I have a tape album if anyone wants it, I'll tell you the title and "hits" tonight as I cant remember, but I looked at it and didn't recognise much. If anyone wants to give it a good home, if not, the charity/record shop beckons. ;D

Five Star are my life! They've been firm favourites since their first album in 1985 - Luxury Of Life. Not a year has gone by where my fandom waned. You'll be happy to know most of them are still in the music biz and creating some FINE music! Here's lead singer Denise... www.myspace.com/denisepearsonofficial Sexy oldest sister Doris... www.myspace.com/dorispearsonAnd errr Stedman... www.myspace.com/stedmanpearsonukTheir last studio album was Eclipse in 2001 (all their 8 full studio albums now available on itunes and Amazon.com). Their last release as Five Star was a Hits dvd in 2007. Phew... my work here is done PS: Andy - listen to Hard Race before you think about parting ways!

Yes i loved Five Star, i have Between the lines (cassette), Silk and Steel (vinyl), Luxury of Life (vinyl), and the more recent album Eclipse (CD) and their Greatest Hits (CD). Bought the dvd they released last year featuring all their 80s videos which was very good.
The very first single i received (for xmas) was If I Say Yes, (& A-ha's cry wolf) and it was from there on that i got into buying singles. My first purchase was Stay out of my life, (& a-ha's manhattan skyline, and sam fox's i'm all you need) from whsmith.

Wow you're quite a fan then! Good on ya for buying Eclipse. Some great music on there - that album should've been released with lots of promo and not just in the US. Such a shame.

well.......would you believe 'Silk & Steel' was one of the first cassette albums I ever bought, loved the girls had loads of posters on me walls, like you did then. 'Rain or Shine' was and still is a gorgeous pop song.

Posted by Musicmania: Yay ! I'm impressed. If you were to seek out another album,I'd recommend 'Shine' - it's like a sequal to 'Silk & Steel',but with even stronger vocals from Denise, and the best Lorraine lead track EVER ! I bought that too ! I think you and I were the only one's that did ! I still think it's way better than 'Hold On Tight' and 'Do Ya Do Ya',yet they were bigger hits. Posted by Thorney: Ha ! It was one of the first cass albums I ever bought too (it was that or Madonna 'True Blue',I forget).I had all the posters too.I still have all the posters but they're in binders and boxed away.

Oh, the does ring a vague bell in the 80's vaults of my mind!
I too liked Five Star, but my favourite ones are going to be all the ones that were singles, as I never gotten around to buying any of their albums, but I did buy a bunch of their singles.
In my preference order:
1) Find The Time 2) The Slightest Touch 3) Rain Or Shine 4) System Addict 5) If I Say Yes

Yup I have quite a collection of those Look-In comic strips - which I got in the 90s (just so no-one thinks I bought Look-In... haha).
The bankruptcy allegations came about after they built a recording studio in their swish mansion. It was meant to be a second income but the side business never took off so they lost quite a bit of money. After yet more bad press, they decided to move to LA.

I didn't get 'Look In' every week (was it weekly?) I was more of a 'Smash Hits'/'Number One' kid. I did manage to get quite a few of the comic strip though ,as I'd swap posters and pinups with the girls. You give me this weeks 5 Star posters and I'll give you uhm Corey Haim (or whoever).lol The Five star comic strip ^^^^^^
