to be honest i have nothing against some of the classics mentioned here (dolly, kenny, etc.). there is NOTHING in last 10-20 years that i think is any good.
Some of my alt-folk gets has some C&W influence, but it's much more than a pop song that currently is in the C&W scene... the connection is more in the instrumentation (slide guitars etc)
