Mark King and co deserve their own appreciation thread. They were immensely popular in the mid-80s in the UK and US, with Mark King heralded as one of the best bass players of the generation. I believe they originated from Suffolk!
My fav songs are:
To Be With You Again Lessons In Love Heaven In My Hands Running In The Family Something About You

Incidentally if you ever get to see the 'To Be With You Again' video, it features a beautiful woman with one of the best arses I have EVER seen! Quite prominent at the end

Oh, I adore Level 42! I was listening to their Definitive Collection the other morning on the way to work. A lot of the ones I liked at the time, I'm not so keen on now, and the ones I couldn't stand when they first came out I really like now. My faves: 1) It's Over 2) Leaving Me Now 3) To Be With You Again 4) Something About You 5) Lessons In Love I also remember Mark King being in a French and Saunders sketch about Ralph MacTell's (I think) learn to play guitar book. Him and Gary Moore, Lemmy all came into the witness box playing riffs from their own hits, then as instructed by Dawn French as the prosecutioner, to play one from R McT's book - they couldn't!

I remember buying one of their 7'' singles. It had free postcards inside ! I think it was called 'Take A Look'. I remember 'Running In The Family' - that was a pretty good one. Posted by smurfie: I sorta remember that from my F & S videos! At one point, Ralph (or someone) apologises to the judge by saying ''Sorry m'lord'',and she snaps back :'' You don't call me 'M'lud',you call me 'M'lady, you b'stard.''

Oh yeaaah. My memory is foggy but that rings a bell.Mine hardly ever got played,as I think the record sleeve was bigger than your usual record sleeve and wouldn't fit into my 7'' record case.
