I've definately seen a trend in the four years living in England from Dj/Electronica back to real music in the charts (Pop sh*te has always been there of course)

I've definately seen a trend in the four years living in England from Dj/Electronica back to real music in the charts (Pop sh1te has always been there of course) It tends to be cyclical. We had a boom in the mid-90s, then it became unfashionable, even though there were still good bands making music. Now it's the 'in' thing again, meaning lots of #1 albums and top 10 singles for 'indie' acts.

Turin Brakes - they are so close to making it really, really big. Last album just lacked the teeth I thought to tap into the Coldplay audience...

I don't think they wil make it big, just another average band, who cares anyway, sometimes the so called average bands are better than multi million selling big bands

I was simply stating an opinion that they have the ability to do very well... talented, nice voice etc...

They should have set up Coldplay vs Oasis battle of the bands by releasing single and album on the same day and we could have all laughed when Oasis got thrashed! ;D
Not sure if the White Stripes is enough to knock Coldplay of the no.1 slot - depends what their new single is like.
