does anyone out there know of them.. i mean i know they have got to have a large fan base out there to be doing as well as they are but where i live it seems only i and a couple friends know of this incredible band. i'm waiting for my cpoy of Picaresque to come into the city... hell even the music stores are like "who?" i am saddened by this and would greatly appreciate it if at least someone out there loved them as much as i do lol

A good band! From the US (Montana I think - making them the only Montana band that I know of!). Odd band as you either know of them and like them or haven't even heard their name before... Picaresque is just now out and it's their 3rd album. I have all three but have not listened to Picaresque yet so just put it on to give it a shot (too much music, too little time!! ) I particularly like Castaways and Cutouts (their 1st Album). Songs like L'eslie Anne Levine', 'Here I Dreamt I Was an Architect' and 'July July!' are very catchy. It's Indie Pop, verging on Twee and Folk at times. They get compared to Neutral Milk Hotel (which I agree with) and Belle & Sebastian (which I don't agree with).

castawayas and cutouts is good, i like her majesty a little more and picaresque even more. Hey Majesty has good songs such as 'billy lier' which is also very catchy. they have 3 albums taht is correct but they also have and EP called five songs, which actually contains 6 tracks... go figure. They also have an amazing and thought provoking EP called The Tain. it is one song containing 5 parts and is 18 or so mins long, i would suggest everyone give this song a listen, it is especially good while chilling out after a small protion of the ever wonderful TCH. The tain is an old Celtic story and the decemberists give it a good run. they tell the story in all sorts of music with wonderful changes and instrumental sections.
Over all they are a REALLY happy pepy band with many many members. i want to go see them in vancover. i forget the date... or maybe its somewhere else, too many shows comeing up, i know its in the next month though. i would suggest everyone go see them live if they can. i hear they are amazing.
