Yesterday ;D ;D (all off the top of my head btw...) Right, firstly the support acts. There were TWO... "Meadow" (crap name) were first, being two possibly related guys with acoustic guitars. They were OK, but a bit samey. Played about six songs, nice to listen to, but after about the fifth song, it was a bit meh. Not bad, like. Something to listen to while everyone else crowds in around us. One memorable thing about them: a song called 'Chicken Legs' "Alfie" CHECK THESE GUYS OUT - about nine blokes, with clever lighting tricks making a nice beginning to their little act. The second song they played was especially good, as was the last one. This one I do know the name of: "Hey Mole". A very nice song featuring moles, sparrows and a background display of big eyes. Oh, and Elbow do a cameo on the last chorus ;D;D;D That was a good spectacle. They told us before doing that last song, which is their current single, that it was one of Elbow's songs which they wrote, but didn't include on the album. Then when Alfie were singing it, all of Elbow came in and sang along with them on the last chorus. And indeed, this is what happened on the night. Overall, an original and versatile band, well worth researching into, and a top quality support act. Stuff on Elbow in my next post

Now... *drumroll* There was a wait of at least half an hour, while the tuning guys did their tuning guy stuff, and the geetar-tuning girl tuned every geetar. slowly. three times. . Then came [glow=red,2,300]ELBOW[/glow] ;D ;D ;D Things you NEED to know: 1. They were ACE. 2. They played LOTS of SONGS. 3. They were BLOODY ACE. 4. They did NOT play NOT A JOB. 5. They had BALLOONS. Rest in my third and final reviewing post.

oi! who gave you the authority to do this? it was PHANTABULOUS... best gig EVAR ;D even though they did play quite a lot of less-than-their-best stuff off the albums. they played the likes of "i've got your number" and managed to omit "not a job", which is out in a couple of days. odd! "newborn". best. live. performance. ever. of. best. song. ever. that is all. frag can deal with the rest

Yup! Got home at 2.10am due to missing the last train to the south coast out of london, and ending up on the delayed last train to tonbridge (40mins away), picked up there by both parents in the small hours. They'd both gone to pick us up in order to keep each other awake.

yep, the instrumental built in nicely to the start of "bitten by the tailfly" thought so as they announced 118 as the song they'd never played live before.
