I don't know whether this should go in Divas or here but they're very obscure so maybe only the indie types will know.
The Cranes are a duo dealing with very atmospheric indie rock with Alison Crane singing very childlike, intelligble lyrics.
I hadn't really heard of them but when looking at the Chart Show indie charts video on youtube I heard of a track called 'Tomorrow's Tears' which blew me away. They sound very distinct from anything else - maybe Portishead in terms of chillingness but not really hip hop.
I want to get there first album 'Wings of Joy' which also includes the fantastic single 'Adoration' which is available on youtube. - any other one a fan or heard of them?

The name vaguely rings a bell - although I'm not sure I could name any of their stuff
Wings of Joy was reissued last year with 7 bonus tracks

Thanks Manick. Oh might get that. They had a top 30 hit with 'Jewel' in 1993 after supporting The Cure on their 'Wish' tour in 1992. Although don't like that song as much as the ones from 'Wings of Joy'.

I've vaguely heard of them, were they similar to Curve?

A bit I guess - not so rocky and they used a lot of piano (from what I heard). Very bansheeish.

If they're anything like the brilliant Curve then I'm sure to like them.
