Any fans of this album??
it's been out for almost 2 years now even though I got it by the end of 2006 or early 07...
it's just amazing... it's got that bitter-sweet element done to perfection... Tracyanne Campbell's vocals are angelic, almost haunting and really honest... The music is just as inspiring... The lyrics are well about love & relationships but the way TC tackles that ugly aftermath is just ace... What I love about them is the fact that most of their songs are melancholic but there's a lot of charm and beauty thrown in there to good measures so that it wont sink...
Country Mile was the first song ever to make me cry... I used to listen to this album when I was living in the happiest moments of my life... This is the kind of album you have to listen when you're happy as it's just so dreamy and disenchanting... Now I feel that sense of disillusion when I listen to it but at least I can re-live those glory days through listening to this...
This is among my favourite 10 albums of this decade so far... what do you think?

Agreed that is one of the best songs on the album. Certainly the catchiest as well... Without it the album wouldn't be the same but the rest is as good or nearly as...

Heyyyyyy Lloyd... I'm ready to be heartbroken. To be honest I didn't ever actually get it. I did like both singles very much though, that one and the title track .. think there were a few more but they were even more low-key.

Yeah most of the album is low key definitely... there are only 3 fast paced songs... those being the first 3 singles and the most accessible... the rest of the album is such a grower though... I still remember the first time I listened to it and after Lloyd I was desperately waiting for the title track... But that was only for a few spins as then it was very rewarding... Especially the 2nd side... it's just amazing!

great group and album. i often prefer them over belle and sebastian when in the twee mood. another good band to check out is sodastream (from austalia belive it or not). Saw them last year at a church - was lovely. sadly they broke up after that tour
