Hold off your assumptions for a minute and go listen to it! Listened to it on the way back from work and it's really rather good. It's probably his most consistent album so far and the songs have a lot more to them, ie some can be classed as actual songs and not just records! I haven't had such an immediate good feeling about an album since I bought Scissor Sisters and look what happened there...!

I take it nobody else likes Fatboy Slim?
Guess that would be supported by his lowly midweek position...

I have his first 3 albums, as well as both Beats International albums, both Freakpower albums and the Pizzaman album.
Slash Dot Dash didn't really do anything for me, so I listened to samples of the tracks online before deciding whether to purchase Palookaville.
I wasn't too impressed, it was ok but not great.
I will wait until I can get it cheap.

He's made enough money, if it flops it flops...really didn't like slash dot slash, will need to hear the 2nd singles and I loved the stuff when he broke big.

I would suggest giving "Push And Shove" a listen.
For me, it's the best album he's ever done.
