Just two days away now, Cardiff vs Portsmouth. Who do you want to win? Who do you think will win? I think Cardiff my sneak it tbh, would be good to see a CCC team in Europe and it'd be the perfect ending for a cup full of upsets, even if it is Cariff.... One thing is for certain, it'll be only the second time since 1996 and English manager has won a major trophy!! The other of course being Steve McLaren who won the League Cup wih Middlesbrough.

That's Pompey then. Cardiff are wearing their "lucky" black kit...

Great minds think alike. Would be nice to see Cardiff get an early goal to open things up though.

I want Pompey to win mainly because of Redknapp, plus I think they deserve European football more than Cardiff do. Its going to be very tight and not with many goals i don't think, close call but i'll go with 1-0 to Pompey, possibly after extra-time, mainly because of how important James is to them.

The semi finals are often better than the final but the semis were both sh*te so hopefully we'll have a good final...
I don't understand the Harry Redknapp love-fest. Maybe it's a southern thing... That said, I don't particularly like Dave Jones either.
I think I'd rather see Portsmouth win than Cardiff but I wouldn't begrudge Jimmy Floyd a winner's medal.

I think I'd like to see Cardiff win, it might make them get distracted from the League next season.

Made up for it though I also think the Cardiff goal should have stood, hand ball my arse, David James palmed it onto his arm, ball to arm, no handball. Cardiff playing nice football, nice open game, can the ref book Glen Johnson as well, moans about every decision, and did a nasty tackle on the ankle at one point.

His arm was up though and the ball was heading towards him even if James hadn't helped it on its way so I think the decision was correct.

The ball was kicked and hit the players arm, Cardiff were cheated out of a good goal.
Being half Welsh I wanted Cardiff to win, but you just can't beat premier leauge teams in the final. My only hope is Cardiff go to the premier leauge next year, not to get relgated, like Milwall in 2004.
Who was that Pompey player who kept fouling but never got booked?, very poor ref performance today.

Get your Cardiff tinted glasses off!
It was a great game yesterday, wasn't the greatest spectacle but it was a good, clean, well refereed game. Both sides were good and they were both a credit to football, players went down and then somewhat shockingly, got straight back up again!
The goal was unlucky to be ruled out, but was still probably correct. That kind of decision is given for handball ALL the time, and he did have his arms out away from his body. The correct team won, you could just tell they had that little more quality in everything than Cardiff did, it showed to gulf between the Premiership and the CCC.

glad harry redknapp has finally won something, he has constantly got the best out of average or troubled players and he always sets his teams out to play good passing football.
probably the right result, portsmouth could of scored a few and cardiff had a goal ruled out, probably 60/40, you do see handball given for similar things, it was flapped towards him not blasted so he could of avoided it if he wanted to. if it didn't hit the guys arm he wouldn't of been in the position to score, so he kinda set himself up with his arm, wether he meant to or not his arm was not by his side, that could be taken as being deliberate

If yesterday's commentator was correct, then Portsmouth have only conceded 1 goal in the whole tournament. Does anybody know if this is a record?

Three teams have won it without conceding a goal but it hasn't happened since 1903. The Wanderers in 1873 but they got a bye to the final as defending champions. Preston did it in 1889 and Bury in 1903.
Man U only conceded one goal in 2005 but lost on penalties in the final. Everton only conceded one goal when they won in 1984 and their run included a tie that went to two replays. They only conceded one in 1995 as well.
