surely Hoggard and Tremlett are in front of pattinson to get a game. After watching Notts vs Hants yesterday there's no way Tremlett is better!

Pietersen is complete idiot swinging the bat, he clearly has plans for tomorrow!

Broad made an excellent 67 again! Shame the rest couldn't match him, at least we made them bat again

ambrose is crap England should bring back prior a better alternative . Prior's a better batsman but he can't catch, which is a pretty big drawback for a wicketkeeper. Chris Read's better than both.

He's the captain of a very good Notts side, who keep getting other players called up to England duty.

Well he's experienced it before. He's played in 15 tests with 23 innings with a batting average of 18.94. It's not great but he's never had any kind of run in the team as he's played games from 1999 to 2006 and 3 were ducks from 1999 when he was only 20... He's also a great 'keeper too.

Sounds like he deserves another knock then.

The 3rd test is underway. England made a decent start before losing the usual 3 quick wickets. Strauss was out hit wicket (stupid b*****d), Vaughan was out first ball and Pietersen went for 4.
England have made 2 changes from the last test with Ryan Sidebottom returning in place of Darren Pattinson, and Paul Collingwood returns with Stuart Broad left out. There's no place for Steve Harmison. South Africa make one change with Andre Nel coming in for the injured Dale Steyn. Captain Graeme Smith was passed fit despite a back injury.
England 82-3 at lunch.

164-5 now.
Cook made 76. Collingwood managed 4 in 45 minutes at the crease.
