In last night's 'Manchester Evening News', it said that Peter Kay & Take That have recorded a 'Novelty Single', to release in December - in an attempt to stop 'The X Factor' Winner having the Christmas No.1.

I read about this on Digital Spy a couple of weeks ago, although that only said Peter Kay and Gary Barlow.
It's being launched off the back of Peter Kay's new TV show which mimicks shows such as X Factor, Big Brother etc. Of course, this doesn't stop Take That being lined up for a performance on The X Factor

Ugh. The only thing worse than an X-Factor number one is a Peter Kay number one.

I heard he was doing it just with Gary Barlow, but if it's true that it's all of Take That, i'm sure it will do really well. Those 2 combined should be a really strong competitor to the X-Factor single.

I think that would be brilliant! I love Take That and Peter Kaye, but in all honesty I'd like anything that stopped the X Factor winner getting an automatic Number One *EDIT* With the exception of Leona Lewis as I think she genuinly deserved it despite being an X Factor winner.
