The Grammy nominees will be announced Dec. 4--just 11 days away. Any thoughts about who will be nominated this year? My guess:
Album
* Coldplay - Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends * The Eagles - Long Road Out of Eden * Alicia Keys - As I Am * Lil Wayne - Tha Carter III * Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand
I'd love to see Radiohead in there, but I think it's a longshot. BB King could get a nod too.
Record
* Coldplay "Viva la Vida" * Estelle Ft. Kanye West "American Boy" * Leona Lewis "Bleeding Love" * Robert Plant & Alison Krauss "Please Read the Letter" * Timbaland/OneRepublic "Apologize"
Duffy could get in there with "Mercy," perhaps Rihanna with "Take a Bow," and if The Eagles going on a spree, their "Busy Being Fabulous."
Best new artist:
* Adele * Duffy * Jonas Brothers * Leona Lewis * OneRepublic Would be cool to see Estelle make it instead of OneRepublic and have four British female nominees.

Were the Pink releases too late for the 09 nominations?
I hope Leona and Duffy can do Britain proud.

"So What" may have been released before the Oct. 1 deadline, but I wasn't able to get the list of songs submitted for contention, so I don't know for sure. The album would definitely not be up.

very surprised at Adele!!!! She's even up for record of the year!! In fact, record of the year is pretty surprsing (Adele, Leona, MIA, Coldplay, Robert Plant/Alison Krauss) since Alison Krauss is the only US act!!

Unfortunately, I don't think it's being broadcast over here. Will have to catch up with Radiohead's performance (and maybe U2's and Coldplay's) on Youtube tomorrow.

Is there some sort of vendetta against Leona, first the Brit's snub her, now the Grammy's.....?
I'm not a fan of hers, but I am shocked that she didnt win at least 1 award... I was actually afraid that she was gonna win everything she was nominated for!!
BTW - CONGRATS to Carrie Underwood! YAY!! A True Reality Show Winner!!

I saw the show live. Oh my goodness the Credit Crunch really hit the show. It all looked so cheap and hurried. No comparison to the shows from the previous years. Hope next year it's back to normal, and would they please finally start to show it in widescreen?
