Starting a new thread as the old one might crash as it's passed 1000 posts, so carry on the chat in here, and as the night unfolds, tell us your thoughts ;D

Fearne Cotton looks like she has been dipped in bleach compared to the rest of the sofa on the Xtra Factor.

Good ol' Jice talking on the Xtra-factor. Seemed to make a lot of sense with what he said too

In response to LittleChicken's thread.
I'm sure some people downloaded Slow Club. Many of those who 1. Knew it existed and 2. liked it and weren't so narrow-minded to care that it wasn't a "major release".
White Hot Christmas is shown as a fairly big seller on iTunes this week too although my attempts to promote it on Haven have fallen on deaf ears once again as nobody cares about releases that are not "major".

It's got nothing to do with whether it's a big release or not. It's got to do with whether people like it or not. I don't expect for a second that someone would hear a song, like it, but then decide not to buy it because it's not a big release - to suggest that that's what happens is quite frankly silly. Why can you not just accept that your personal tastes do not reflect the tastes of the country as a whole?

When will you accept that the UK chart is not based on an even playing field. If it were I might actually accept whatever is #1 as the rightful most popular song.
They should try an experiment. Play all the new releases an equal number of times and not tell anyone who they are by. Then see which songs are actually the most popular.

I just said your chart was as pointless as any of the other charts that people post in the Personal Charts part of Haven. It's personal taste, and nothing more, and can only be treated as such.

and whatever is number 1 in the single chart deserves to be as it has sold the most so therefor is the most popular.

I went to look for your chart and didn't find one, so obviously you don't make one.
The NM chart and other personal charts are not "pointless". They are different opinions as to what is the best music out there, although we all work off different playlists and it tends to be those in the UK chart that end up around the top as well because they are probably on more people's playlists.
