BIG Brother chiefs were seething last night over their bungled secret house stunt.
Four hours of crisis talks were held as executives tried to rescue what has become the show’s biggest crisis.
An insider said the rumbling of the secret house had even made some bosses question whether BB7 should be the last series ever.
In a desperate attempt to pull things round, they are planning a series of shocks to keep the wannabes on their toes.
Originally they planned for Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, 27, to evict four of the five new contestants without realising they were being moved to the main BB house.
The twist would be that the wannabe left behind, Aisleyne’s favourite, would be the one who really got the boot.
Now speculation is mounting that Big Brother will kick more than one of the newbies out the door by the end of the week.
A source said: "Everyone’s furious that this huge stunt has backfired because the housemates are too clued-up this year.
"We’ve had to go back to the drawing board and find another way to shock them."
Telly chiefs went into panic mode after Aisleyne – who was caught yesterday having a fumble with her hand down her shorts – sussed that every wannabe she evicts is merely moving next door. And the original housemates have worked out the plan because they have heard the new neighbours’ voices.
Yesterday Lea Walker, 35, cornered new girl Jayne Kitt, 37, and grilled her about "next door". She asked: "Are there any secret rooms here?"
And the secret housemates in the neighbouring pad have also guessed where Jayne is.
Michael Cheshire, 24, said: "You know Jayne’s next door?"
Meanwhile, show fave Pete Bennett, 24, threatened to quit.
He confided in Imogen Thomas, 23: "I feel really depressed and tense and frustrated."
