The Prodigy and Take That- it's like it's 14 years ago and nothings changed. Freak Power was of course another moniker for Norman Cook. I did love that Human League song at the time, there's a recording of me taping the chart show and singing along to it ( ), and also me getting very angry at the prospect of Celine Dion being at number 1 for another week!!

Retro Playlist Additions Week Commencing 02.03.95: A-List * Human League - One Man I My Heart * Elastica - Waking Up * Madonna - Bedtime Story * Jade - Every Day Of The Week (Album Version) Even the Elton John song wasn't *that* bad on the A list - didn't he get the TOTP crowd centre stage around his piano the week he performed. One Man In My Heart is just though the better remix is on CD 2 where the hook is slightly reminiscent of Beck "loser" - I know Ant & Dec played the remix version on their show as opposed to the proper single version.

"One Man In My Heart" was one of several highlights on the Steel City Tour (Heaven 17 / ABC / Human League) just before Christmas. The slightly off-key backing vocals add to the charm of this delightful song.

Astonished that "Back For Good" was only B-List. One of the best songs of the 1990s.
Can't remember Jade at all. Quick wiki check tells me they were yet another American r'n'b girl group - the treadmill just kept rolling.
