1. 'Give' 2. 'Welcome to England' 3. 'Strong Black Vine' 4. 'Flavor' 5. 'Not Dying Today' 6. 'Maybe California' 7. 'Curtain Call' 8. 'Fire to Your Plain' 9. 'Police Me' 10. 'That Guy' 11. 'Abnormally Attracted to Sin' 12. '500 Miles' 13. 'Mary Jane' 14. 'Starling' 15. 'Fast Horse' 16. 'Ophelia' 17. 'Lady in Blue' Out May 19. First comments: Eww at the cover - why can't she ever be photographed naturally. I'm sick of the airbrushed look. A lot of religious influence on the album again. But not really too much to say - American Doll Possee I really liked despite the title/artwork. That was really strong quality art pop and should have been bigger. I wonder if she will go in a less commercial direction this time. I'm more excited about the forthcoming Peej album I have to say though.

Thanks James - you're a marvel! I actually really like this musically but not to keen on her vocal country drawl... not a classic but better than the likes of Sleeps with Butterflies and Big Wheel.

I love the new single!! It was debuted Tue night on an Austin radio station and we all had a collective freakout at the Tori Amos community. I really like it, reminds me of A Sorta Fairytale/Scarlet's Walk period so it's a good thing. The station debuted another song yesterday (Fire on Your Plain) but only a 2 min clip.
Tori is in Austin right now. Today she's performing at SXSW and gonna debut newies. And on Fri the same radio station is gonna have a live session. Exciting!!!!
With ADP, she almost lost me as a fan, was T as her lowest, bad concept, mediocre songs... hope this puts her back on track!!!!

I quite enjoyed 'American Doll Possee' actually - seemed more versatile than anything since 'From The Choirgirl Hotel'. Anyway, I tend to get excited for every Tori release and always end up a little disappointed. I'd love a solid 11 or 12 track album from her with no theme.

“I wanted to make a treasure, something people will value”, says Tori Amos on her stunning new album ‘Abnormally Attracted To Sin’ - released on her new label Island Records, on May 18th. “AATS” is indeed a treasure. An elaborate feast made from home-grown stock, offered up to a generation fed on small meals made with cheap ingredients. “AATS” is Amos at her most passionate and most comfortable. The album has a typically detailed and wide sound, dominated by dark, rich reds and hints of silver (“I want to make audio mescaline” Tori said). The mood is dark but charged, like a late night conversation (or confession) held over several bottles of wine. “AATS” (the title is taken from a line in “Guys & Dolls” spoken by the character Sarah Brown) is the work of someone who knows, with fierce certainty, what she believes in. Anybody, whether it’s a newcomer or a lifelong member of Tori’s phenomenal fanbase, will feel that certainty. The 18 tracks on “AATS” were recorded in Cornwall by Tori’s husband Mark Hawley and his partner Marcel Van Limbeek. There will be a covetable deluxe edition of the album which features a bonus DVD containing 16 “visualettes” directed by Christian Lamb (who filmed Tori and her band during the “American Doll Posse” tour). A single, “Welcome To England” – taken from the album – will be released on May 25th. Tori will be playing a one-off solo acoustic show at London’s Savoy Theatre on April 27th where she will be performing tracks from “AATS” as well as songs from her back-catalogue.

You're going all the way from California to see her? There was a time whe I would have snapped up the ticket straight away but I'm not so bothered. But seeing her solo is always amazing - you'll have a great old time.

im so looking forward to this album, american doll posse was to upbeat and schizophrenic in its track order, still body and soul and roustephuer bridge were amazing.
im loving welcome to england, as normal im not sure what to make of the 'visualettes' but i'll watch them and if anything is added to the songs from them, then great.
also this will actualy chart properly as the deluxe edition should be chart worthy. im thinking top 10 america, top 20/30 uk, canada, maybe oz, #5 to 50 around europe.

I really love Curtain Call already - not sure about Give yet. But Curtain Call has a very melancholic feel to it with a great swirling piano (a la Siren, Carbon and Barons of Surburbia) and it's almost like the old Tori is back which moves my heart. Really looking forward to the album now.

i think AATS will be a success for tori. her tours are always epic in how many shows she plays and i see that isn't going to change.
rebulic have been doing a great job promoting her.
im confident that AATS can wash out the memory of ADP which although did well, just didnt sit well with me.

So what do people think of this album? My initial impression is that it hasn't blown me away yet. 'Give' and 'Curtain Call' are probably my favourite although 'Curtain Call' is really Carbon mk 3! None of the rest really bothered me on first listens. I know I may have to give it time but I'm not sure if I'm interested in her enough anymore to do it.
