Cliff Richard & The Shadows have reunited to record Singing The Blues formerly a #1 single for Guy Mitchell and Tommy Steele. It will be released on September 14.
Apparently it will be a rock'n'roll version something like Dave Edmunds version in 1980.
It'd be great to see this great combination at the top of the charts again and give Cliff a 6th decade #1 although with so few outlets stocking physicals now it is unlikely.
However I'm hopeful of top 10, possibly top 5.

I think he could actually have a chance of getting his wish this time round, depends on the competition really. I hope he does achieve it anyway.

With an average of over 65K needed for a UK No.1 this year, Cliff has ZERO chance. Only HMV stocks physicals, and I doubt many pensioners will be downloading the track.
