new single Doesn't Mean Anything www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVeG3GlZiD4Sounds like a great comeback. Alicia's comeback singles are always great. Pity the albums have so many fillers and sub-par songs... but singles-wise, no complaints... What do you guys reckon?

Not as instant as some of her other songs, but I think it sounds quite nice. At times it does sound like shes struggling with the singing though

Not as good as No one on the first listen, but I'm sure it will grow...

Oh good - I do love a bit of Keys - and this is very good.
I liked As I Am - but it was nowhere near as good as Diary Of (her best album IMO)..... "You Don't Know My Name" such an amazing track, as is "Karma". However, she will have to go a long long long way to beat her first single offer of "Fallin'"....

I absolutely love the lyrics and production to it. It's kind of a cross of If I Ain't Got You and No One.
Admittedly, it's not the absolute ANTHEM that the latter was, but I love all 3 of Alicia's albums and I know the new one will be great.

Really like this, the same goes for lots of Alicia's material.
Don't own any of her albums though. I should invest.

Ooh, this is lovely. Another heartbreak song to head to the top of my personal chart.

I saw her today in some random US talkshow and she talked a bit about the single and she said it's about how no matter how successful you are, if you are alone and don't have anyone to share it, it's not worth it...heartbreaking indeed!!

Well, in the meantime I like that song but I prefer her other new single from the Jay-Z album:

Absolutely love the second single, Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart: It's got awesome production. Love the drums. It's a fair bit different to DMA, which is a little too much of a No-One/If I Ain't Got You clone. One of my favourite songs I've heard in a while

And it's not as classy as her other covers, even if they were a little boring. It will stand out on the shelves though which is a good thing. I wonder if she does X Factor she can get a top 10 album.
