Animal Collective get their first entry, Saint Etienne's criminally underrated pop song appears as do Glasveags, continuing their good from of 2008.

Rahman ft M.I.A. 'O...Saya' *debut* / *3rd hit*History (M.I.A.): 'Jimmy' (#80, 2007) 'Paper Planes' (#11, 2008) 031 Beautiful Small Machines 'Robots In Love' *debut*www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttH4Rd8djPMPlenty of new artists here, Delphic are definitely ones to watch out for in 2010 and have lots of hype surrounding them at the moment (deserved, too!), Florence was this years Brits Choice Award winner and she's closely followed by Ellie Goulding, who's next years winner! A.R. Rahman may have found chart success with the Pussycat Dolls but it's his collaboration with M.I.A. that made me take notice of him and his Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack. 'Robots In Love' is a beautiful 3 minute pop song, I can hope they might be successful one day.

Doves were back on form this year and lead single 'Kingdom of Rust' is as good as anything on the album, Muse enter with a song which I loved as soon as I heard, not something that happens often with them. It's not often I enjoy the biggest selling and most overplayed songs of the year but I just can't tire of 'I Gotta Feeling', The Prodigy were back on form too this year with 'Omen' and 'Winter Winds' has an unsurprising wintery feel and is my Christmas number one!

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart are my favourite new band of the year, the Drums don't sound too dissimilar to them and are another big hope for 2010, 'Arcadia' is easily the best of the Ash A-Z series so far and Little Boots makes another appearence with 'Remedy'.

This is rather too fast. I'm glad you liked Love Of An Orchestra because for me it's their biggest hit, albeit it reminds me a bit of recent Sparks.

Actually I forgot 'Untouched' made #8 in my chart so yes that should be included. Here's more faves from your End of Year chart. Again, tracks in bold are chart toppers for me: 40 Lady GaGa 'Bad Romance'39 Ke$ha 'Tik Tok' 37 Saint Etienne 'Method of Modern Love' 34 Florence & The Machine 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)' 30 Doves 'Kingdom of Rust' 29 Muse 'Uprising' 28 Black Eyed Peas 'I Gotta Feeling' 27 The Prodigy 'Omen'26 Mumford & Sons 'Winter Winds' Lady GaGa 'Poker Face' Little Boots 'Remedy'Looks like my no. 1 hit of 2009 have been spread throughout your top 100 of 2009 so far.
