Robbie has teamed up with Gary Barlow on his next single, Shame, which is not only co-written but also performed with his former bandmate. The duet between the two superstars is set for release on 4th October later this year and working on this track is the first time the two have written and recorded together since Robbie left Take That back in 1995, that's 15 years ago! Shame is the first single to be released from In And Out Of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990-2010, Robbie's 39-track album of greatest hits from the last 20 years. Spread over two CDs, this is the definitive collection of Robbie hits celebrating his impressive career to date; 57 millions album sold, 11 millions singles sold, seven UK No.1 albums (making him the biggest selling solo artist in the UK), a Guinness World Record for fastest ever ticket sales… it's no wonder that he picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the esteemed BRIT Awards in London earlier this year! Speaking about this forthcoming album and working with Gary Barlow again, Robbie said: “It’s incredible to listen to the album and realise that it’s already been 20 years of making music and playing gigs. And the great thing about the album is that it’s not only a celebration of my past but also a bridge to the future. The fact that part of the future includes a name from my past makes it all the more poignant for me”. To be released on CD and DVD, In And Out Of Consciousness will be out on 11th October 2010

so I assume this is gonna include Take That tracks too... as it says 1990-2010... pointless release in my opinion so soon after his first Best Of... I like the title though

The last money maker before 'starting a family'?
I agree, seems soon after his first Greatest Hits but there's been 3 albums and a fair few hits since 2004.
Quite interested in the track and i'm sure the album will be one of the huge sellers this Christmas.
An X Factor slot is on the cards for sure with them both as mentors, but the live shows won't start in time for the single release. I'm sure that won't hinder its chance of getting to #1 though.
EDIT: This could be timed right if the rumour of Simon bringing the entire schedule of X Factor forward a week so to avoid the Xmas #1 battle is true.

Take That would do well to steer clear of Robbie Williams - he'd probably ruin their popularity.

Nowhere does it actually say it contains Take That hits but the dates it spans suggests it must do!

I've read lots of reports of it's release online and not one mentions the TT hits. I'd prefer it if there were only solo hits. Oh and Something' Stupid had better be on this time!!

The album cover has changed and the tracklisting confirmed In And Out Of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990-2010 celebrates Robbie's incredible 20 years in music with 39 of his biggest and best songs on two action-packed discs, and now we can exclusively reveal the gorgeous album cover and fantastic tracklisting! The image for the cover was captured by photographer Julian Broad, who also snapped Robbie for the Reality Killed The Video Star album cover and Bodies single sleeve. Shot on a beautiful day in May in Malibu, California, we think you'll agree Robbie's looking hot... It's no wonder he needed to cool-down by the sea! Scroll down to see the cover in all its glory. Tracklisting Prepare to take a trip down memory lane with Robbie as the journey begins in present day with two new songs, Robbie's beautiful duet with Gary Barlow, Shame, which is also released as a single on 4th October 2010, and the feel-good track Heart And I, another fantastic Williams/Barlow co-written song. The album then takes us backwards through the decades, featuring all the colossal songs from Robbie's eight solo studio albums over the years: Reality Killed The Video Star, Rudebox, Intensive Care, Escapology, Swing When You're Winning, Sing When You're Winning, I've Been Expecting You and Life Thru A Lens. The album is rounded off with a sprinkling of Take That gold dust, featuring Everything Changes, the boyband's fourth consecutive single to go straight in at number one in the UK way back in 1994. Doesn't time fly?! Take a look at the tracklisting for the album below and see where your favourite Robbie songs are on the double-disc album… CD1 1 Shame (with Gary Barlow) 2 Heart And I 3 You Know Me 4 Bodies 5 Morning Sun 6 She’s Madonna 7 Lovelight 8 Rudebox 9 Sin Sin Sin 10 Advertising Space 11 Make Me Pure 12 Tripping 13 Misunderstood 14 Radio 15 Sexed Up 16 Something Beautiful 17 Come Undone 18 Feel 19 Mr Bojangles CD2 1 I Will Talk And Hollywood Will Listen 2 Somethin’ Stupid (with Nicole Kidman) 3 The Road To Mandalay 4 Eternity 5 Let Love Be Your Energy 6 Supreme 7 Kids (with Kylie Minogue) 8 Rock DJ 9 It’s Only Us 10 She’s The One 11 Strong 12 No Regrets 13 Millennium 14 Let Me Entertain You 15 Angels 16 South Of The Border 17 Lazy Days 18 Old Before I Die 19 Freedom 20 Everything Changes (with Take That)

I'm very disappointed there is no "Better Man" his Argentinian #1; New Zealand #4; Australia #6 & Mexico #9 hit single. As this unreleased UK single is a bigger hit internationally than a dozen of the tracks on the compilation.
Yet the album contains "Mr Bojangles" & "I Will Talk & Hollywood Will Listen" from his "Minging at Swinging" album; and "Make Me Pure" his #15 in the Netherlands #27 in Mexico "smash" hit.

This greatest hits is the end of his contractual requirements which I suspect is why he has released it so soon after his last.
(still gonna buy it though - looks fab and even includes Freedom !)
