Surprised there is no thread on this, very tragic!
Singer Charles Haddon dies in fall at Belgian festival
The lead singer of the London pop band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool has died during a music festival in Belgium, the Foreign Office has confirmed.
Charles Haddon, 22, leapt from a telecommunications mast behind the stage at the Pukkelpop festival in Hasselt on Friday, Belgian police said.
The Camden-based band was participating in the three-day music festival.
A statement from the band said: "We are all so deeply saddened to confirm that our friend Charlie Haddon passed away."
On their MySpace website, the band said: "The singer had just performed with his band, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium. He was 22 years old.
"The London three piece were in Europe playing a number of festivals before embarking on a tour of Australia as part of the Parklife festival next month.
"Charles Alexander Haddon R.I.P. Thanks for all your messages of support."
A statement on the festival's website said after performing with his band Mr Haddon "decided to take his own life".
The singer fell to the car park from the mast and was pronounced dead on Friday night.
Police are treating the death as suicide, district attorney Marc Rubens said.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We can confirm the death of a British national on August 20 in Hasselt, Belgium. Consular assistance has been offered."
The band was due to perform at the Frequency Festival in Austria on Saturday, followed by their second appearance at Bestival on the Isle of Wight in September.
They were also due to start a UK headline tour in Cambridge in October

Terribly sad news. Just as it looked they might be on the brink of at least some success.

I don't know what their new single is. These New Knights got into my chart and I also have an earlier song by them Dance The Way I Feel which failed to reach my chart.

I don't get the point of these bands recording music then making it inaccessible.
