That is a turn up, wonder how it will fare in the charts?
I still remember seeing this video and liking it, and it reaching #173 in the charts! And look where he is now, how many albums has he sold?

I thought "Wiseman" with its legendary (lyric) "semi by the sea" was upbeat, and a good tune.

I really dislike him. I said so on Twitter and one of his fans attacked me

This should do well for him, I am glad he is slightly re-invented himself .

ohh I thought that James Blunt was universally hated for me he represents all that's wrong with record companies, and I define him as a 'fake singer songwriter' in the sense that there's nothing real bout him and he is basically a record company toy. At the start of the 00s, a new era for singer/songwriters started mainly due to the success of David Gray's White Ladder, and at a minor scale, Damien Rice's O. Until then, singer/songwriters were critically acclaimed but sold little (eg Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, etc...) but Davd Gray really opened a door and showed that real artists can sell too. The downside to this was that record companies jumped on the wandbagon and started to invest in 'creating' new singer/songwriters. and that's what they did with Blunt. Lots of $$ behind, pairing him to write song with other songwriters, etc... and of course it worked and he sold cazillions of CDs... but he's the fakest thing ever, a true songwriter doesn't pair up with this Max Martin (Baby One More Time, My Life Would Suck, etc) to write a song. Ray Lamontagne, Leonard Cohen, they sismply wouldn't do that. /end of rant

Its just a 'nice' song, very inoffensive and well produced
