Well - 'Safe' is very unlike anything they've done before. I'd never have
guessed it was by them.

It sounds more like a Heavy Rock Song, than the usual Westlife Singles.

Thumbs up to the 'Boys' for going in such a different direction.

I'd say it will be a Top 5 Hit. But - sadly - not the Hit it deserves to be.

I adore this song! To begin with I was like 'It's good' now I'm like 'It's AMAZING', deffinely a grower and I adore their vocies on the verses. Deffinely the best lead single by them since Unbreakable. I think they have a good shot at number one, I'm going to predict #2 though with the hope it will go number one. It will be amazing if they do get their 15th number one, it's deffinely better than the likes of 'Mandy' and 'The Rose' which both got there. WAN sold about 75,000 without a video and a massive backlash from Daughtry fans, this time round they will have a video and they won't be annoying other group fans, not directly anyway so I hope it will do better sales wise. *cross fingers* for number one. I'm also hoping promotion the week of the single is better than last year, they had X-Factor, GMTV & an interview on The One Show, as the album is the week following it promo should be more packed together than last year which should mean the first 2/3 weeks of sales are high, hopefully anyway. More than anything I want this to go number one so Louis' and Simons confidence will grow in Westlife doing originals, they already said they had to fight for this album to be all original I hope thats a fight that will pay off. I liked the 'unlock the door' part of the song that is in the songwriters version and one of the snippets on 'X-Factor', but it doesn't seem to be on the radio version.

Westlife go nu rave meets death metal .... about blooming time!

I'm joking, of course it's the usual comma inducing ballad track that Magic FM will play to death.

In the same way that Cliff Richard can't seem to chart high without Christmas, no doubt the oxygen of a Sunday night promo appearance on the X-Factor will see it outsell everyone else on physicals, but see it trail in on iTunes at around #7 position to debut at #2 or #3 the following Sunday.

But face facts One Direction are so being groomed to replace them, before Westlife disappear to Daniel O'Donnell territory.

They've not had a number 1 since 2006, this ain't gonna change that - despite them thinking that its probably 'safe'.

#1 on phyiscals, #22 on downloads. = Hopefully Top 10 misfire.
