Terrible news for Easter that The Weakest Link is to end next April after 1,693 episodes over 12 years.
Ann Robinson has decided to quit - she says that she had originally decided to do the show for 10 years but has completed 11 and that it was time to move on and denied that the BBC had tried to cut her salary.
Rather than continue the program with a new presenter the BBC decided to end it.
This is a disaster fro our family - we always tried to have our dinner while watching it!
Some of Ann's favourite answers:
What is the branch of medicine concerned with women?
A: Womenology
What insect has many limbs, the name suggesting 100?
A: A Giraffe
Wich popular drink is an anagram of the word ATE?
A: Chocolate
Which 1995 film starring Pierce Brosnan shares its name with a type of duck?
A: The Living Daylights
What U is given to the name of a symphony by Schubert?
A: 1964
Which animals build dams and lodges?
A: Sheep
Ah well at least there's another series to go.

That's the best one I'll miss the celeb versions. She used to take the mick out of the celebs, big time. We had an Irish version of Weakest Link, exactly the same layout, but with an Irish (journalist/sports pundit) host.It was awful.Axed after one season,I think.

Can't really say it's a huge shock but it has ran its course I think. It has done remarkably well though, especially in recent years what with other quiz shows now on that time.
