Depeche Mode are releasing 'Wrong' next week....Last single from new album 'Precious' went to no.3 where do people think 'wrong' will go? I think maybe no.3 again or at least top 5(hopefully!)
Also does anyone have any historical data for depeche mode's album/single sales and chart positions?
;D

I'd like to think it will be a big hit but there hasn't been a great deal of exposure and in the download age it's not as easy to reach the top 10! I'm going to predict #12, though I hope it will be higher. Anyway it's all about the album really.

No way is it going Top 10, you need to sell over 20K now to get there and as Pet Shop Boys found out, even a strong loyal fanbase will barely get you Top 15 thesedays. I'm going for No.11 - just missing out sadly. It's a fantastic track though!

I'm with Robin and Doctor Blind. I think Depeche Mode are going to struggle, especially as they are a fanbase act, and along with the Pet Shop Boys a fanbase act where the fans prefer the physical single as opposed to the download.
I would love to see it Top 5, as it's one of their better tracks for a long time, but I reckon it'll be Top 15 at a push.

Precious reached #4 not #3... And it's their highest charting hit... not counting the saturdays' cover of course... I'd say Wrong will reach #13...

I really think they're gonna be top 10, I'd say they have a more hardcore fanbase than the PSB. They've been consistently hitting the top 5-6 with their first singles off studio albums for ages, unlike PSB... we'll see

It's a brilliant track. I love Depeche Mode have for about 7 years when I was only 13 But they'll struggle to get top 15 I think. 16 at best. Now 72 is out next week don't forget and could produce quite a crazy singles chart.

Now 72 is out next week? Damn, that's probably going to inflate sales a bit and probably prevent them from going in as high as possible.

I love Depeche Mode, but in today's climate is going to struggle to get inside the 10, as PSB failed, I say #12.
And I'm trying to create a cover design for a comp, its murder trying to create the new DM logo, if anyone has any ideas let me know, otherwise I use the old DM logo... tee hee hee
