It's about to get its premier on Radio 1 anytime now. And then it'll be released on 4th September. Can't wait to hear it and get a new album!

Surprised this is like an Alexis Jordan bside.. I would of expected something much stronger from Leona.. Shame they also seemed to have autotuned the power out of her voice too..
At least they are not going with on air/on sale or this would have seriously flopped.. With 7 weeks of repressed sales I'm sure once it is actually officially released it might be able to do ok?

not as mind-blowing as I was expecting... at least on 1st listening... wouldn't be surprised if all the controversy is a Cowell strategy to generate publicity/new interest in Leona

Definitely not the big departure it was hyped up to be, but I like it more than 'Happy' on first listen. Hopefully it will grown on me...

More yawn inducing material from Leona. I don't see a return to the big selling days of the first album

seriously I don't know why they're going in this direction for Leona... her role more should be Adele... rather than Alexis Jordan...

Anyone who went down the Adele route now would pale in comparison. I love this song, a big improvement an both singles from the last album. It's not quite up there with Bleeding Love or Run, but it's a different ball game, so it's not fair to compare to those singles.

Yeah, I know it's a bit Kelly Rowland/Alexis Jordan, and has ZERO personality whatsoever, but I actually quite like it. At least it's not another "Happy". I am still baffled why they didn't go with "Brave" as the lead single for Echo, but hey.
Back to "Collide", yes it's a bit of lazy hit and she sounds like a robot through most of it, but it's not the worst thing I've heard this year. 7/10.

Given the album is out in November, I'm just surprised they didn't go for a first single that was a bit more out-there and unexpected, and then release something like 'Collide' (a good song, but a safer choice) just before the album drops.

I reckon they are saving the usual ballad as the second single so that she can perform it on X Factor the week the album is out...

It's kind of sad that a new release from Leona got so much buzz online, the kind of excitement and talk that you get with major artists like Britney/GaGa etc. and literally the day after, it DIED.
The song's kind of growing on me, but it's crying out for a remix or two. The chorus could be so much more powerful with different production.

The song is DOA much like her career is likely to be before long

I think it'd be better to have a slower reaction with this one since it's not out until September. What's the use of everyone falling in love with it instantly and then being sick of it when it's released?

I think the interest will re-gain once the video is out...

Oh, I like the Afrojack remix, but now it sounds even more like an a Alexis Jordan track.
