Your opportunity to vote for your fave album of the 80s. Open for 5 days, if it's tied then there will be a showdown between the remainding albums. You can vote for up to two albums that you would like to be crowned the "Favourite album of the 80s"- here they are!!

Only one album on this merits a "FAVOURITE ALBUM" vote.

Two days left to run and I'd say this is now between three albums with the other two falling away.....not long to run now!!

One vote needed from me too. And it didn't go to Michael Jackson.

24 hours to go and it looks like a winner has been chosen- failing a last minute rush....

It's a good album but not the best one of the 80s i'm afraid

It's their best album, but I can certainly think of half a dozen New Romantic/synth pop albums better than this.

Happy enough with the result although Bad was my choice.

Interesting that Actually didn't win its semi-final.

I love Actually, and glad it won. Not my favourite album of the 80's, this would have been more likely Another Place And Time or Like A Prayer. I always slightly preferred Behaviour.
Thanks for arranging this Gezza76.

Pet Shop Boys were most definitely my favourate BAND of the 80s, most consistent with brilliant single releases BUT difficult to name one ALBUM as the best of the decade. I far prefer compilations like Greatest Hits with 12" versions added of the biggest hits. I also like Donna Summer's Another place and time but like with a lot of other PWL related albums : Bananarama (I want you back), Dead or Alive (In too deep, My heart goes bang, Something in my house), Rick Astley (Together forever) and many more, the album versions of singles (Love's about to change my heart, I don't wanna get hurt) were in UN-REMIXED format and after hearing the 7" remixes of the singles i couldn't listen to any of the album mixes after that. The same applies to the Pet Shop Boys with the substandard album mix of "Heart" in 1988.

Lexicon of Love definitely my preference, but I can accept Actually - it's a classy album. "Bad" though....errr...I suppose it had so many singles on that most of the tracks have kind of seeped into the consciousness, so on balance I probably don't dislike it as much as I did at the time
