Mark My Word,Westlife Album Defo Will Be In Top3 And Sell Very Very Well Till Xmas And Then Fade Away In 2 Weeks Time After That. It's Impossible That Westlife's Album Go To No.11.But If They Release It In Better Week They Have All The Chance To Go To No.1.

Well, apparently One Direction confirmed that their album will be out on the same date. So we know who will be no.1... I can't help to feel that Cowell is an ass for, not only releasing their album the same day as Westlife, but also their 2nd single (14th November).
I know he said that there is no grudge between them because of Westlife leaving Syco, but I think this is his way of taking a little revenge.
I just hope that Westlife get high sales overall, regardless of the position in the chart.

Completely agree with you zeze.Simon even put their single on the same date as westlife release lighthouse.I think both in album and single charts this 2 bands go top3.

I sure hope that for Westlife navid, I don't care that much for One Direction - they are nice lads, but their music is too teen for my taste. That kind of single Westlife would probably release in the early days so One Direction definitely have right songs at this moment since they are just kids. Best luck to them.
Regardless of the fact that many people slag Westlife off, no one can take their records and success away. I think they do deserve to be no.1 with their Greatest Hits despite a few mistakes they have made in their career.

Even if One Direction Wasn't Releasing On The Same Day, I Doubt That Westlife Could Hold Rihanna...

I definitely agree on that, Rihanna is very popular. I like her, I hope her album will be good causeI must say I really don't like her new single.
It could be, or at least I hope for this:
1. One Direction 2. Rihanna 3. Westlife

The only mistake in westlife career was their dependency to simon cowell.westlife didn't want to sing covers(that's why all the people slag them off for)but he force them to sang mandy(which main reason why brian left westlife)-home-what about now-the rose-you raise me up and...
the main thing that most people forget is that westlife first 10 single that result in 9 no.1 was mainly original and they have a great hit likes hit you with a real thing and imaginary diva and when you're looking like that which are uptempo and all of them are great.in where we are album you can find great great tracks like the difference and shadows and where we are that absolutely brilliant.but people judge westlife in a very very bad and unfair manner.westlife are the only band that lasted 14 years and even take that and bsb take a break and compare one direction and JLS to westlife is laughable.believe me,they're make 3 albums and go away but westlife are still strong.get my point people? If You Get it please buy westlife new album and single!

Thats exactly what I meant as well when I said a few mistakes. Staying with Simon and caving in on his every demand definitely made them look bad - I can't blame people when they think Westlife are a cover band. However, I wouldn't say that Take That were on a break for that long, they did actually split up and made a reunion It is clear that Cowell lost interest in Westlife since he didn't allow them to release a 2nd single for the last 2 album which is unbelievably stupid. I hope that things get better for them with the new record company – things already changed a lot since they had a international tour. Kind of a shame that they changed the first single (Mark’s song) at the last minute just so they could have Barlow’s song. Hopefully they were right. Sorry, this is probably off topic but it’s nice to talk to someone that has a positive opinion anout Westlife like you navid. If you want to talk more about them, send me PM.

After 14 years, 26 top ten hits including 14 number one singles, 11 top 5 albums, 7 of which hit the top spot and have collectively sold over 44 million copies around the world, 10 sell out tours and countless memories that we will forever cherish, we today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year. The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures. We see the greatest hits collection and the farewell tour as the perfect way to celebrate our incredible career along with our fans. We are really looking forward to getting out on the tour and seeing our fans one last time.
Over the years Westlife has become so much more to us than just a band. Westlife are a family. We would like to thank our fans who have been with us on this amazing journey and are part of our family too.
We never imagined when we started out in 1998 that 14 years later we would still be recording, touring and having hits together. It has been a dream come true for all of us.
Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane
‘Greatest Hits’ to be released on 21st November
New Single ‘Lighthouse’ to be released 13th November.
Shocking News.Totally Unpredictable.

Clearly in the light of today's announcement, I have to upwardly revise my prediction for Westlife's 2nd Greatest Hits album, as it is now more definitive.

A great day for real music lovers. Good riddance. No doubt to boost their album sales. I bet they are planning their eventual reunion a few years down the road, or am I just being cynical
