Are the proceeds of the single going to charity f*** Me! Not again. It's was a sh*t song and still is a sh*t song, why does she keep re-releasing it. If people like it then would download it now. Calm down, its not being re-released (well not until the olympics anyway). its benjamin's idea of a joke

I like a lot of M peoples stuff in the past and don't mind Heather. It's just funny to see a song that under performed, to get re-released to under perform again (3 weeks in the top 75), to possible get re-re-released again! lol. Surely the days of re-releases are dead due to the download now option?!

Who was it who said M-People made dance music "for people who don't like dancing and who don't like music"? Not entirely fair (their earlier singles were inoffensive enough, and some of them - "Colour My Life", anyway, were damn good). But they went so badly wrong.... her voice doesn't suit those songs, and it ends up sounding like a hooter/megaphone combination. I would quite happily never hear "Proud" ever again. I far prefer some of the stuff she did with Hot House...
Anyway, back to the question: I voted for Gaga. It's too good a song (maybe the best single from this album, to damn with faint praise?) to slip away - and I'd be surprised if it slipped away from being a big hit in the fashion of "Being Boring" (not that I'd expected that to flop relatively either). Although had Katy Perry been on the list, I'd have voted for that first. Maybe everyone who'd buy the single already has the album, but that's still a cracker of a pop song (and the video compliments it well too)

Voted for Lana Del Rey, but i suspect that the James Morrison/Jessie J duet will be the one to do well post-christmas.

I guess Maroon 5 could pick some sales around New Year, but I don't see it staying high for weeks after Christmas, as it has sold close to a million now already. A record with lower sales is more likely to benefit.

Isn't a true sleeper hit one that didn't do fantastically before Christmas but breaks through after? I'd say You Da One is probably the closest to meeting that criteria, but it's only climbing because the video is out.

There is no sign at present of any record storming up itunes but then all the oldies will be doing well as a result of voucher redemptions. Next week may bring us a sleeper hit

Adele's 'Someone Like You' is doing well.
I put Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' in there as a joke...not expecting it to actually be hanging around the top forty of itunes, which it now is!
