It has been 50 years this week The Beatles debuted on the UK chart, I have posted a retro chart from the Week Ending 13th October 1962.
As you see it was a humble start for the fab 4, entering quite low in this chart, Love Me Do, eventually peaked at #17 by Christmas 1962, with their first top 10 hit by February 1963, Please Please Me and first #1 by May 1963, From Me To You, and within 12 months of their debut, She Loves You got to #1 in September 1963, She Loves You went on to be the best seller of the 1960,s.
