Is a cover version of the old Blondie classic One Way Or Another, recorded by... One Direction I absolutely adore that Blondie track.

^ Further proof that Simon Cowell is completely incapable of an original idea.
I bet he never knew that US #24 hit single and seminal Parallel Lines classic album track existed until it was covered in Series 3 of Glee. (As I bet none of Syco's people watched Channel 4's "Sugar Rush" during the mid 2000s.)

I'm not shocked it's them as Simon shoves them down our throats all the time these days - they are everywhere. Out of curiosity, does anybody know which Comic Relief single is the best selling? I searched the web a little and I couldn't find the info.

seriously, does anybody really want Boyzone or Westlife to come back?
weird song choice but cannot be worse than the Saturdays covering Depeche Mode or when GA & Sugababes did Walk this Way

Yes, they were the best male groups ever. 2. I like "Walk This Way" (Sugababes + Girls Aloud) and "Just Can't Get Enough" (Saturdays) covers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> awful original songs. Please tell me you are being ironic/sarcastic.

What happened to having comedy songs for Comic Relief? Having a bunch of d-list slebs in red noses at the end of the video does not make anything funny.

Dunno, I find the probable gnashing of teeth among people who take Blondie too seriously hilarious.
Anyway, the recent tradition is to have a comedy and a non-comedy single every time.

Good grief talk about killing a classic its hardly a tune, its not even a patch on the original, I don't know how they got the rights to the track, the mash up with teenage kicks does nothing to it, it just ruins Blondie's version alltogether, its one huge mess and shouty at the very end of the track.
I can't believe people are going to download this rubbish in droves, on Comic Relief day.
I could go on but rant over....

I presume they got the rights because the relevant members of Blondie and the Undertones didn't want to be the people who stopped a load of money going to charity. Same reason David Bowie and Brian Eno agreed the X-Factor version of "Heroes".
