One of the albums of the year for me!!! Any fans out there?
I still don't get the Radiohead comparisons. For me, they sound nothing like Radiohead...
some of the highlights of the album
Something Good
Tesselate
and my current favourite, Taro

oh Taro is my girlfriend's favourite song of 2012 Strange that they didn't release it as a single. It's not very radio-friendy maybe. Though I can say the same about the whole album. Their unique sound (nothing like Radiohead, nothing like any other band I know) isn't easy to listen for an average music buyer so I'm happy that Alt-J became successful.

Can't believe there wasn't already a thread for this. Absolutely love Breezeblocks and Tessellate.

It's good, and it's easy to see why they get so much praise, but you could get rid of a third of the album quite easily for me.

Have to admit that last track wasn't too bad apart from the guy's horrible voice. But everything else I've heard from them sounds like a weaker version of something else.

I'm totally addicted to Taro at the moment, the instrumental bit in the middle is all kinds of amazing!! and the lyrics are great, didnt realise at first it was about these two war photographers!!!

My girlfriend has the album and loves it, I'm kind of on the fence though at the moment. It's definitely something that grows on you and don't click right away.

I loved Tesselate, as something a bit different, and MTV Rocks has started playing a video for Breezeblocks, has it been re released? I really like it. Gone back to listen to Matilda and it's growing, which I think the album is? Reminds me of Sigur Ros in places. Just listening to Taro, can see it being a grower, that Arabian vibe, then the guitars kick in, then back to the Arabian vibe, nice. So where's the cheapest I can buy the physical album?

Breezeblocks was added to Radio 1´s playlist the other day, so I guess it´s gonna be re-released, B-list this week
