I always have a soft spot for a Cascada single but i wonder if the chorus is catchy enough to win Eurovision

I hope they have cleared this with Sweedish House Mafia, it sounds very much like Don't You Worry Child in certain places.

Darkstar79, who thinks this is a 'poor entry for Eurovision.' The song has strong production, a singer who can actually sing live, tapping into the current big sounds from Avicii and Swedish House Mafia, a catchy hook and chart appeal.
If you compare this to some of the entrants who still sound like they re stuck permanently in 1972, then this is about as far from a very poor entry as you can probably get.

The problem is, as is frequently the case, they emulate the style of the previous year's winner and it rarely performs as well

That I do agree with Manic, but having listened to a handful of this years entries, this is streets ahead.

To be fair to Cascada this is their style anyway and they're known for it, it's not as if they're an unknown act copying the Loreen style - and I don't find them that similar anyway. Definitely one of the top 3 or so chosen so far.

Agreed, but Germany had other styles to choose from and they went for the safe option

Agreed, but Germany had other styles to choose from and they went for the safe option They had a strong selection but I do think Cascada was their best chance to do well. Saint Lu could have done well with the juries I guess. A few of the better pop songs were ruined by bad singing.

Great song, great Eurovision choice in my book.
