Two great albums released on the same day which do you prefer and think is better supergrass in it for the money or charlatans tellin stories ?just would like to see what people's opinions are as was having this discussion with a friend last night and could not make our minds up.

I think the Charlatans one is better. I can sort of appreciate what Supergrass were trying to do, but there are too many half-baked songs.

At the time I only had enough for one and got the supergrass album.most of the time it ranks higher in most 1997 best of polls above the charlatans one.

never owned either but both have atleast 2 or 3 amazing singles

Agree with daz, both had great singles but as Charlatans albums go, I preferred Us And Us Only, despite the raw emotion that was understandably present on Tellin' Stories. In It For The Money had just enough great songs beyond the singles to swing it for me.
