It should be called "Knee Deep In My Groin".

Or "Knee Deep In An £18m Bankruptcy Because Despite Conning The Sheeple Out Of A Fortune By Pretending To Sing A Load Of Sloblock I Wanted Even More And Ended Up Costing Innocent People Millions That I Cannot Pay Back But Decided To Go Bankrupt In England Because The Irish Take This Sort Of Thing Seriously".

I don't get why are people so bitter regarding Shane's career. I think this has a lot to do with him being from Westlife - had Olly Murs released a song like this, no one would be bothered - but because it's Shane, lets all diss him because we all hated Westlife with passion.
I'm not saying he has made a masterpiece, but the album is a solid pop record - kudos for him for writing all of his songs and not sticking with Westlife sound.
And regarding his bankruptcy - people are forgetting this could have happened to anyone. It is not like he lost it all on gambling or drugs. He simply wanted to invest once the band is over and it all backfired - I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose and he is not defending himself, he knows he made a mistake. Sure, the situation pushed him in going solo, but he planned to do that anyways after the band.
People are way to harsh on him as a solo artist and the songs are not bad as many people claim they are.

Well, it couldn't happen to anyone, as I doubt "anyone" could borrow eighteen million quid. Remember this was not a question of him using his own money; that would have just made him broke. He did it with other people's money. And note that, even though it was all Irish investment, he made himself bankrupt in Britain. You come out of bankruptcy far more quickly than in his own country. The simple question though is how much is enough. He was wealthy through other people's efforts and he still wanted more?

The simple question though is how much is enough. He was wealthy through other people's efforts and he still wanted more? All I am saying is that he is not the first or the last person who went bankrupt, thats what I meant when I said it could have happened to other people. And regarding him going in UK - he keeps saying he has a house in the UK for the last 9 years and his kids are going in the school there, plus he wanted to launch a career there so that is why it made sense for him to go bankrupt in the UK. I don't know if he is lying or not, it actually shouldn't matter when it comes to his music - I find it strange when people hate artist's music just because they don't like something they do in their private lives. And I understand what you mean when you say he was wealthy but wanted more - but watching him trying to explain it, he was thinking about the future, money doesn't stay forever and investing looked promising. He said in many interviews before he wanted to give something back to Sligo by building properties there. And ok, he messed things up, but he has a right to try and salvage this - a lot of his earnings are going to those who lost the money, it is not like he is denying anything and just ignoring what happened.

I have to admit, this is quite catchy, like Gary Barlows last one.
Better not let the wife hear this.

It's quite a nice song and possibly the kind of music he'd wanted to release had he not stuck with Westlife for the money... oh wait, he's bankrupt..
Anyway, it's #11 in my current chart.

I knew nothing of this young man's financial travails.
I will put that to one side and consider the song on its merits.

Okay.
Pleasant enough song. I could understand every single word which isn't something I can say for many of the records that make the chart.
Pleasant melody too.
It's not outstanding by any means but if it makes the Top 40 then it would be fine by me.
