First thoughts: Looks good, pleased they managed to get 'Rather Be' after it was a quite glaring omission from NOW 87.
Why stick Idina Menzel, easily one of the biggest songs of the year, right at the end of CD1?
Pleased to see 5 Seconds of Summer on there, but aside from that no indie rock (I guess reflecting the current state of the singles chart...). If there's one track I would have liked to see it's Kasabian - 'Eez-eh'. OK, not a big hit, but lead single from a number 1 album.
ETA: I don't think much of the ordering of CD2. That disc isn't going to age well at all, club tracks like Secondcity and Klingande might be reaching #1 in 2014 but I can't see many people wanting to hear it in five or ten years' time. Sia and Paloma Faith (and the aforementioned Idina Menzel) would make more sense as early tracks on the disc.

You're right about Disc 2 - but then again the albums are called 'Now' and it does reflect what's popular now. I think Kasabian's 'Eez-eh' is brilliant too & it will stand the test of time.

I take it thats the official tracklisting then.
Glad they didnt put the timberlake version of jacko on there.
I can only see one track i dont know and thats the MK feat Alana song. If that is released as a single the same day then basically the week after all the songs are out of date and freely available with hardly any exclusive tracks on it.
To me if i downloaded that MK track then i wouldnt need any of the others as i already have them and buying that cd then is me totally throwing away £15 down the drain.
I think they should release 4 a year and not 3.

Looking at the track listing it should be very successful.
No doubt it will easily be the best selling album in the UK on its debut.

I'm tempted by this too, I've not bought a Now album in a while but I'm really liking the look of CD2.

It is cracking value at the end of the day. Even at £15 it would work out at about 33p a track.

I have bought it today (to go with my other 87 NOW albums).
Will play & listen to it tomorrow, as I'm doing my usual Monday night ritual of listening to likely high new entries, and new albums that I'm interested in released this week (La Roux, King Creosote).

I should give Cheryl Cole feat Tinie Tempah a miss then, Cher Lloyd may surprise, Magic is brilliant and its a pity Erasure will probably bomb again. Album wise i have played my now 88 and filed it. Think im getting bored of the franchise now. La Roux was ok. Will play it again maybe wednesday. Still trying to catch up on last weeks albums. Loved Morrissey and Judas Priest was alright.
