Another new series starting on Friday, coming to Sky One. From Michael Bay of Transformers so should be quite action packed. Second series has already been confirmed.
Their mission is simple: Find a cure. Stop the virus. Save the world. When a global pandemic wipes out eighty percent of the planet's population, the crew of a lone naval destroyer must find a way to pull humanity from the brink of extinction.

I saw a trailer of this the other day I was meant to post a topic about it, I just forgot, it actually looks good.
There are loads of new series starting next month.

It has already finished in the States.
Clearly a ratings triumph for the network though. Thirteen new episodes ordered compared to just ten in season one.
"Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, in The Epoch Times also said that "'The Last Ship' has become this summer's top drama among key adult demos with its epic scale and visceral storytelling." The series garnered top ratings, with its first four episodes averaging a whopping 4.66 million viewers every week and a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to reports from TV Series Finale. With "The Last Ship" season 2 renewal, a lot of fans are expecting a lot more action-packed drama every Sunday."

Pretty good first episode I liked it actually. The first episode just sets the whole series up, going to stick with it for the time been its only 10 episodes.

Not sure if anyone has been following this, but it ended last night with a double episode, been entirely hooked to the series and improved week on week.
Let's hope the series gets picked up for a second season to tie up the cliffhanger at least there is scope for more, as the last episode takes the series into a different direction on dry land. I pretty much enjoyed it.

I liked this, so glad there's a second season, so many good looking men in it in uniform, what more can you ask for

I like it, but it is very predictable, all the baddies are bad, but the US are good, blah, blah, blah, apart from the twist at the end, where the apparent good people are bad. I'm intrigued where the 2nd season can go, and whether it can sustain it for a whole series if they are on land?

It was an interesting ending, I didn't expect that, the problem with these programmes is the second season can sometimes be pretty naff and ruins it
