********************98 Kings Of Leon – Sex on Fire*************************
Well this needs no introduction, the third highest Kings Of Leon song on the list but I think that is more of an indication of when I made the list, several Kings Of Leon songs should be higher than this, anyway number one in 2008 as we all know.

********************97 Incubus - Talk Shows on Mute*************************
Another of my favourite bands of the 00s. Also my favourite band that I never saw live even though I had tickets for the gig, I was too ill to go!!! This reached #43 in 2003.

********************96 Kasabian - Fire*************************
Highest song for Kasabian on the list but really they could go in different orders depending how you feel. This reached #3 in 2009.

********************95 Arctic Monkeys – I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor*************************
Ooh controversial only #95 , yes it should be higher! One of the most iconic indie songs of the 00s. This reached #1 of course in 2005.

********************94 Brand New – Sic Transit Gloria ... Glory Fades*************************
We will stop here at the band that make up the Brand New in my BNE address. One of the most inventive rock bands of the 00s merging emo,post-hardcore and alt rock. This reached #37 in 2004. Just think about that this was a top 40 hit such an amazing piece of music, just wow.

********************93 The Hives – Hate To Say I Told You So*************************
More garage rock and this sounds great in 2017 havent played it in a long time. This reached #23. Originally released in 2000 so beating the Strokes but took some time to be a hit.

********************92 Passion Pit – Sleepyhead************************
Not a hit record but the production techniques in this track are regarded as a huge influence in modern pop music, many of the sounds we take for granted and hear on every pop record now started on this album. His influence on US EDM has been recognised within the industry.

********************91 The Beta Band – Assessment************************
Although they never matched the brilliance of their early EPs, this single at least was a huge return to form. It also has a brilliant video and that crescendo at 3:50 just gives me chills. This reached #31 in 2004.

********************90 The Strokes – The Modern Age************************
I think this was the first song I ever heard by The Strokes and you knew kind of instantly that they were something special. It was part of their debut EP and charted at #68 in 2001.

********************89 Incubus – Nice To Know You************************
Another appearance for Incubus, they have one more to come. This is one of their heavier moments but still very melodic. Surprised to see according to Wikipedia that it didn't chart at all! Must have fallen foul of some rule.

********************88 Idlewild – You Held The World In Your Arms************************
Now some rock from the UK, prior to Biffy Clyro Idlewild were probably my favourite Scottish band. They have three more songs to come. This was their biggest hit reaching #9 in 2002.

********************87 No Doubt - It's My Life************************
No Doubts highest song on the list from their best of album The Singles 1992–2003. I think it is just about as good as the original but they haven't changed it that much. It reached #17 in 2003. Great video as well.

********************86 Roger Sanchez – Another Chance************************
Probably the highest pure club record on the list ,one or two to come were still quite big dance hits but not like this. With its great Toto sample and a killer drum riff just so good. It reached #1 in 2001.

********************85 Biffy Clyro – The Captain************************
Biffy Clyro were really at their peak commercially now and a brilliant video. This reached #17 in 2009 when hardly any other rock bands were charting high.
