Amazing, I saw Prides last year, they were very good, if I'm not mistaken they opened the main stage at the music festival I went to in Derbyshire

I may start using this chart to help source mine. My current playlist is 14 songs and I am looking to increase it to about 20.

I just add all my new entries into my chart as I find them, rank them as I get into them and then copy off the top 40 for Haven

I have your playlist. Although the only two I have taken off it are Belle And Sebastian and Vaselines, both album tracks. I notice Belle And Sebastian even bothered finally to put a proper video to the previous single.
Ideally you'll recommend to me the ones you think I will like, although your list isn't that big that I can't browse them.
Vaselines aren't on your chart above but are on the playlist.
Some of the songs on your list above are already in my chart or on my playlist.

'Nobodys Empire' isn't an album track it is the 2nd single, but they are releasing new ones all the time so just depends what you define as a single but being as it has a video isn't that enough for you.'The Cat With The Cream' is the latest release. Belle & Sebastian have never been a video band, in fact in the first few years they refused to make any.

The Party Line came up in my regular search, Nobody's Empire didn't. Nor did The Cat With The Cream that spotify thinks was the first release. Sometimes Spotify don't put in the tag:new and thus they don't come up.
In any case Nobody's Empire is on my playlist this week but on first listen of that and the Vaselines the latter are more likely to succeed. Whilst Belle And Sebastian have returned somewhat to catchy twee songs after that techno whatever that was The Party Line, I didn't find it that gripping.

Ahh because that playlist is fluid between the chart I posted on the 4th and my new chart I will post later this week, so The Vaselines track would have been added recently, might not even reach my top 40 by the time I put a few new entries in

Cool. Looking forward to seeing them. Playing on Valentine's Day in Sheffield, so our little treat to see them and Model Aeroplanes too.

You mean gareth8's playlist?
His music seems to be more in your taste than mine.
The last few lists have been very short, by the way. Always far fewer releases at this time. But my list of 64 went down to 11 when tried to find videos for them. I used to find videos for about 40% of the songs on the list. 20% is really pathetic. And these horrible "auto-generated Various Artist - Topic" ones or whatever. Are they a lazy excuse for artists not to make them? There are sites where you can make animated cartoon ones. Some artists have actually used them.
I'd rather have a shorter list though. I was spending far too much time last year filtering and compiling my chart. I have 16 at present, including some big names. 16 a week was approximately how big my playlist was in the early 2000s.

I like to have 40, have 31 at the moment but I add to to it daily usually from what is doing well on iTunes from that thread, like I will add All Time Low now as I hear they are in the top 30 at the moment. And both Belle & Sebastian tracks were on Gareth8s list and he actually likes dancier music than me but generally he saves me time, I can listen to the ones i don't know and quickly dismiss them if I don't think they are good enough.
