Well the tables have turned this week as New Order and Bonnie Tyler swap places. It was still very close with only five points between one and two. Altered Images also advance a place at three after still being a bit touchy on the subject of love. The highest new entry arrives at four for David Bowie who bounds in and I thought you guys should know that Duran Duran arrive at five also.

It was a week of "Song For Europe" (British pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest). Five entries from it were included in my chart. Didn't found Casablanca - With Love on Youtube.
Song at # 25, it's a Finnish version of major FR David hit "Words". I was born on 30th March 1983. allSTARS* cover version of "Is There Something I Should Know" was # 1 in my chart (with "Things That Go Bump in the Night").
"Stop In The Name Of Love" was a small hit only in Belgium.

Bonnie Tyler surrenders her top spot as the Style Council take over this week. The Jam did have two NM #1 hits and several #2 hits.
Michael Jackson gets the highest entry with the 3rd single release from Thriller. The noticeable difference between this and anything he has done previously is he has delved a bit towards rock with a presence of big guitar riffs. In fact if you'd listened to this at the time before his vocal came in it's unlikely you'd not have guessed who it was until he started singing on it.
U2 folow up "New Years Day" with "Two Hearts Beat As One".
A couple of women called Tracy enter the chart, although neither of them use that spelling. We have Tracie and Tracey.
Tracie is known for winning an audition of Paul Weller, already sang backing vocals on Beat Surrender and sings on the current #1 too.
The other Tracey is known for being a comedian on 3 of a kind which also features Lenny Henry (already known to me prior to that as an occasional DJ (as Delbert Wilkins) and someone who does multiple character voices). The 3rd went by the pseudonym of David Copperfield
The final entry is an American male glam-rock group.
