US action drama series. The lives of three strangers - a stranded female soldier, a disillusioned corporate attorney and a disrespected political activist - collide when they uncover an international military conspiracy to fund terrorist activities. During a mission with her special ops Task Force 24 team in Mali, North Africa, Sgt Odelle Ballard stumbles upon encrypted files that prove a major American corporation called the SOC is secretly funding terrorists. She copies it onto a flash drive before the untrustworthy private military group OSELA show up. After an attack on her unit, she becomes the sole survivor and must make the gruelling journey back home. Meanwhile, former US attorney turned business investigator Pete Decker uncovers corruption in the private sector at his new job, and G8 protest organiser Harrison Walters suspects a government cover-up when a fellow activist hacks into Sgt Ballard's webmail account and finds her distress signal.
this starts tonight on BBC2 and does not sound too bad from the description

I will tune in, not least as I found last Sunday's part 1 of ITV's Black Watch starring Sheridan Smith to be hugely disappointing and formulaic.

found the first episode of this extremely dull. (says the person who was looking forward to it)
guess the trailers mean nothing when the actual show is not something i'd watch on a weekly bases

This was great, just finished watching it, very gripping right from the start. Let's you get into the main characters pretty well, Anna Friel was brilliant. Sticking with it to see how the series pans out. Overall pretty impressive.

I watched this on the iPlayer this evening, as I made the error of watching the second episode of Black Work on Sunday night thinking it would improve on the first (Surely there must have been times during its filming that Sheridan Smith thought to herself that some episodes of Two Pints Of Lager and A Packet Of Crisps were better than this generic cop murder drama).
I absolutely loved this. It reminded me of a cross between the first series of Homelands and 24.
Plus it is a handy reminder that Anna Friel was/is one of Britain's Best Actresses even though she now mainly makes films & TV shows for American audiences.

This is really good, gripping drama, and I love the cliffhangers at the end, it just draws you in for the next episode wanting more, I'm well hooked.
